Top 11 History Tours in Munich

1.Guided Tour of the historic Town Hall on Marienplatz

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 63 reviews · 2 hours · from $29Our pick

Tour Munich’s New Town Hall, its FC Bayern balcony, grand rooms, and film-famous Law Library with an English-speaking guide.

4.Munich and Nazi History Combination Day Tour Small Group

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 31 reviews · from $109

Review of Munich’s Nazi history and Dachau day tour, with practical timing, transport, guide quality, group size, value, and booking advice.

“For an English speaking tourist, Alan, as a native English speaker, was able to share the nuances and story of Nazi Munich and Dachau sensitively and informatively, and in a way that was completely understandable to me. I cannot recommend Alun's tour highly enough. With small groups, a compassionate and well read tour guide, and more than enough information for the day, I highly recommend this option for touring Nazi sites in Munich and the confronting Dachau. A must do in Munich!”

6.Historical Walking Tour on the Rise of Hitler

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 13 reviews · 2.5 hours · from $30

Explore Munich’s Nazi past with local guide Alex on a 2.5-hour historical walk through key sites, buildings, and places tied to Hitler’s rise.

Weiter so!

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 7 reviews · 3 hours · from $288

Review of Munich’s private 3-hour walking tour, covering Nazi-era history, Marienplatz, beer culture, Viktualienmarkt, and optional Residenz Museum.

“While our guide was very accommodating in meeting us earlier than assigned time at our request, she was hard to understand, spoke very quietly and she was not very engaging. This was a private tour for a group of up to 15 people and with only 2 of us we were straining to hear her. The tour itself was OK, just a nice walk around the heart of Munich, nothing more.”
